Camacho lined up as new Real Madrid sports chief - March 16, 2006
Jose Antonio Camacho is being lined up by Real Madrid to return to the club as sports director.
Camacho endured a short horror spell at Real at the beginning of last season, but is said to be keen to take up the technical position at the end of this term.
Interestingly, Camacho is close friends with Vicente Del Bosque and while it's reported the former Real coach will be handed a role with the club's academy, it's also mooted he could be given the coaching reigns again.
Like Camacho, Del Bosque is good friends with Real president Fernando Martin and the chances of him making a stunning return increased last night as both AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti and Juventus' Fabio Capello ruled out moving to Madrid at the end of this season.
