Gravesen: Real Madrid lack steel - March 16, 2006

Real Madrid midfielder Thomas Gravesen broke his self-imposed ban from speaking with the Spanish media yesterday.

The charismatic Dane feels he's been given an unfair rap by the local media, but insisted: "I just speak with the Danish press because I feel more comfortable with them. It's nothing against the Spanish."
Gravesen didn't back away when asked about comments he made over the diving in the Primera Liga.
"Look, Spain is different to England. Here it's more technical than in other leagues. In England everything is stronger and harder and I am accustomed to that."
Asked if he believes Real lack steel, Gravesen added: "As a squad, yes. The coach is working on this.
"Sometimes in games you must play a physical style - so long as the tackles are fair."
