Villarreal president Fernando Roig remained upbeat despite last night's Champions League elimination by Arsenal.
"We have played a good game, we had more goal chances and have demonstrated that we were capable of beating Arsenal," said Roig.
Of Juan Roman Riquelme's penalty miss, Roig added: "Surely Roman will be very sad, but it is necessary to raise the spirit because we have four most important games in the Liga left."
He went on: "This season has been unique, the players have demonstrated that we deserve to be here.
"We were better than Arsenal. They said they'd come here to attack, but I don't know where this attack is because they have not had one opportunity to score.
"We can again make the semifinals of the Champions League and, even, to reach the final."
