Togo players flew to Dortmund on Sunday ahead of Monday's match against Switzerland after being talked out of boycotting the game.
The continuing row over their bonuses led to a mutiny with the players refusing to travel to the match.
The squad had a crisis meeting with FIFA officials and coach Otto Pfister at their base in Bavaria and were persuaded to fly to Dortmund.
A FIFA spokesman said: "There were some problems with the team not wanting to travel and our local co-ordinator contacted them and said if they did not do so it would be a very serious matter, so they agreed to play the match."
