Arsenal's Wenger calms Beckham rumours - March 15, 2006
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has played down his interest in Real Madrid midfielder David Beckham.
"Once again that was the creative side of the English press," said the Frenchman. "I said he was a player I always liked and that he can give a final ball but that doesn't mean I want to buy him.
"We have young players who develop now I still have a few out behind them who are very good. We want to give them a chance.
