AC Milan clinch Poulsen after Villarreal talks

AC Milan have clinched an agreement for Schalke 04 midfielder Christian Poulsen.

Virglio Sport says Milan struck a deal with Villarreal officials this week which will see them pay the Spanish club £625,000 to sign Poulsen on a Bosman in the summer.
The fee is for Villarreal's agreement to end their pre-contract with Poulsen, which was struck before Milan came onto the scene. Milan and Villarreal officials thrashed out terms yesterday before the Spanish club's meeting with Inter.
Poulsen will arrive as cover for Rino Gattuso and is likely to signal the exit of Massimo Ambrosini, who has been linked with Real Madrid this week.
