Charlton: Ferguson will decide when time's up at Man Utd

Manchester United director Sir Bobby Charlton says the club will never consider sacking manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

Charlton said: "I have absolutely no qualms about the future of Sir Alex.
"His future is never, ever mentioned in the boardroom apart from the fact that we are all agreed that his future must be here at Old Trafford.
"That will be the case for as long as he wants because whether we are winning games or losing games, he has never sent out a team that has made me feel ashamed about their performance. Not once.
"It's not an issue. When Sir Alex wants to make a decision he will tell the people that matter.
"As far as the directors are concerned, it is not a decision that we will ever have to make. It will be left to Sir Alex. We have all been disappointed about what happened this season, especially in Europe.
"It is important that doesn't happen again - and not just because of the financial implications - but Sir Alex is the man to do that."
