Blackburn shake hands on Tugay deal

Blackburn Rovers midfielder Tugay has agreed terms on a new contract extension.

The 35-year-old has recently been linked with a lucrative move to Qatar, but boss Mark Hughes insists that the new deal is "near enough agreed."
"I shook his hand, so I took that to mean he is happy with the deal and he is going to sign.
"It means we have a good quality player for next season, and there aren't many of his like in the Premiership."
The former Turkey international joined the club in July 2001 from Glasgow Rangers for £1.3m and his existing deal at Ewood Park was due to expire at the end of this season.
Hughes added: "I don't feel people will take too much notice of his age because he has the ability to set the tone in, and take the sting out of games.
"Given his position and ability, I feel he can influence teams and games for a number of seasons yet."
