Birmingham boss Bruce: Worst defeat since U9s! - March 22, 2006
Birmingham City boss Steve Bruce says he hasn't suffered a defeat like last night's against Liverpool since the U9s!

The challenge Bruce faces now is to somehow lift his squad for the battle ahead to stay in the top flight at the end of this season.
"I will have a good look at myself, but it has been a result waiting to happen with too many of my big players sitting in the stand injured," he reasoned.
"I probably haven't suffered a defeat like that since the under-9s. It is possibly the worst night I have experienced in management.
"There's a lot of dented egos, and mine is as well. There is little you can say when you are absolutely humiliated."
Even so he will not be giving up.
"We have to try to go again - there is always another game," he said.
"We have Manchester United and then Chelsea, and that will be a big test for us all.
"In my managerial ability, I will to try to lift them if I can. I will not single anyone out - but you can't play a cup tie and be two down without touching the ball.
"Then you are chasing the game with a patched-up side against the European champions - that is an uphill task."
