Birmingham's Upson looks to Arsenal for injury help - March 15, 2006
Birmingham City defender Matthew Upson is turning to former club Arsenal to help him get over a major groin injury.
Upson, 26, has been sidelined for six weeks with the problem - sustained coincidentally against the Gunners last month.
Now Brum physio Neil McDiarmid has been in touch with Arsenal counterpart Gary Lewin in a bid to pin down a suitable treatment programme.
Star striker Thierry Henry, 28, has recently returned from a groin injury in double-quick time and the Blues are looking for clues.
Brum boss Steve Bruce said: "Our physio has spoken to Gary Lewin.
"Whether it's the same injury as Thierry Henry I don't really know.
"But I think our physio wants to pick people's brains and do all the homework he can so we can find the right treatment to help Matt."
