Chelsea resigned to missin out on AC Milan's Shevchenko - March 15, 2006

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is slowly becoming resigned to missing out on AC Milan striker Andrei Shevchenko at the end of the season.

The Times says Shevchenko, who is a friend of Abramovich, the Chelsea owner, and the Russian's favourite player, remains the dream signing, although there is a growing realisation within Stamford Bridge that it will be impossible to prise him away from AC Milan.
