Everton move to open Villarreal talks for Forlan - March 21, 2006
Everton have dispatched an agent to Spain to open talks with Villarreal for striker Diego Forlan.

The Mirror says Moyes rates the former Manchester United misfit, who has been among the goals in Spain. And despite his success at Villarreal, Forlan - who speaks fluent English - is keen to return to the Premiership with a point to prove.
Newcastle have also been linked with him but can't make a concrete offer until the new Toon manager is confirmed.
The Everton move depends on how much Villarreal want for the skilful South American, with the reported £10m fee far too high for them.
Moyes is after two new strikers to play with and cover for James Beattie.
And he is working on an elite short-list which includes Crystal Palace's Andy Johnson.
