Luis Garcia urges Espanyol not to panic

Espanyol striker Luis Garcia is urging his team not to panic as they face relegation rivals Alaves tonight.

A defeat against Osasuna a week ago followed by a draw at Athletic Bilbao has left the Barcelona outfit just three points clear of the bottom three.
However, good news comes with the return of captain Raul Tamudo, who is back along with Luis Garcia for what is a key match against a close rival.
"To go out against Alaves as though it was the last chance to survive would be suicide because they are a team which defends well and that also counter-attacks well," said Luis Garcia, who was out serving a one-match suspension.
"If we beat Alaves it does not mean that we would be safe and neither would defeat mean that we will be relegated.
"The best way that we can approach the game is to be relaxed and have confidence because it is an important game, but it will not be all or nothing.
"We know also that we are capable of beating any side when we play well, so that should give us belief.
"There is no hiding the fact that we are in a difficult situation, although I think that the situation has been built up to be worse than it actually is.
"It appears as though Sunday is our last chance but there are still 27 points to be played for - if you look at Real Madrid they still think that they can be champions."
