"Magnificent" Fulham stun Chelsea - March 20, 2006
Fulham have stunned Chelsea 1-0 to ease their relegation worries yesterday.
Fulham deservedly took the lead through Luis Boa Morte's shot, which came after they were denied a penalty for John Terry's challenge on Moritz Volz.
Collins John missed a one-on-one for the hosts before Didier Drogba had a goal disallowed for handball - after the referee consulted his assistant.
Mark Crossley tipped a Terry header over and Chelsea woes heightened when William Gallas was sent-off.
At the final whistle Fulham fans entered the pitch in what seemed at first to be a celebratory, and good-natured, pitch invasion.
But it soon turned ugly with clashes between fans as emotions threatened to boil over.

Supporters were involved in a stand-off and certain individuals were involved in skirmishes before tensions calmed down and police restored order along with the stewards.
It remains to be seen whether Fulham will be punished by the Football Association for failing to prevent the pitch invasion.
New Scotland Yard said on Sunday evening that one man was arrested on suspicion of affray and taken to a police station where he remained in custody.
Fulham boss Chris Coleman said afterwards: "I thought my players were magnificent, they showed a lot of heart but we've showed that we can produce the goods here at Craven Cottage.
"I thought we deserved the three points and it's going to give us a big boost.
"The lads did everyone proud, the players responded to the atmosphere as it was almost like a derby game out there but they knew how important the three points would be.
"The chairman never once put pressure on me. I feel sorry for the fans and players at the club as they've started to get nervous, but everything has been fine."
Jose Mourinho felt Chelsea made a poor start, which led to him replacing Joe Cole and Shaun Wright-Phillips after 26 minutes - but thought their second-half performance should have earned them a point.
"We didn't play well in the first half," he said. "We were very poor in the pace of our game and Joe and Shaun did not have a happy game.
"I was watching minute after minute with no reaction from the team, and we needed a change.
"I can say that because of the first half we deserved to lose, from the second half we deserved to win.
"Fulham fought very hard. I'm in the middle of being unhappy but I can feel happy for Chris."
