Newcastle's Solano: Liverpool moved too late - March 19, 2006
Newcastle United winger Nobby Solano wants to prove to Liverpool they were wrong not to sign him.

The 31-year-old Peruvian was linked with a move from Aston Villa to Anfield during the summer.
However, by the time they finally made their approach, Solano had agreed to an emotional return to St James' Park, which went through on the same day as Michael Owen completed his £17million switch to Tyneside.
The South American, who had spent five and a half hugely successful years with the Magpies before his shock transfer to Villa in January 2004, has no regrets about the way things have worked out, but will happily shoot the European champions down if he gets the chance.
"There was a chance I could have gone to Liverpool, but it happened too late," he said.
"Their interest came on the last day when I had already agreed to go to Newcastle.
"I had made a decision to come back here. Liverpool had a chance to get me earlier in the summer, but they did not take it.
"I have no regrets about coming back here. I am now a Newcastle player and I will be trying to win the game in a black and white shirt."
