Arsenal boss admits market gaffes - March 21, 2006
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admits he gaffed in the summer market ahead of this season's disappointing Premiership campaign.
Wenger told The Sun: "It's true it has been a bad season and that is not something I have been used to at Arsenal.
"I have been living with the anxiety that perhaps I made some wrong choices when you look at our league form this season. So now my job is to steady the ship.
"But my dream remains to win the European Cup this year and reconstruct another invincible Arsenal side to match the one which made history in 2004."
Wenger, 56, admits his first taste of Premiership failure has made him consider his long-term options.
He said: "It is prudent for a coach to make sure he has an international rather than just a national reputation job-wise. I have a good range of possibilities."
