Man City keen to tie up Chelsea, Arsenal target Richards

Manchester City are anxious to tie 17 year-old defender Micah Richards to a new deal as Premiership heavyweights begin to circle.

A graduate of Simon Clifford's Brazilian soccer school, Richards has Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, Liverpool and even bitter rivals Manchester United interested. The Sunday Mirror says City are looking to meet with Richards's advisers in the next fortnight. And he is ready to commit himself to the club on a long-term basis if a deal can be agreed.
Representatives from Arsenal and Chelsea watched the Birmingham-born teenager once again produce an impressive performance despite City's FA Cup exit at the hands of West Ham last Monday.
