Academica centre-back Ze Castro has completed a free-transfer move to Atletico Madrid.
The 23-year-old, whose contract at Academica expired at the end of last season, has penned a five-year deal with the Spanish side.
"This club is very ambitious and so am I," he said.
Ze Castro is the latest player to sign for Atletico.
Argentinian playmaker Sergio Aguero, 18, moved to the Vicente Calderon from Independiente last week for around £16million while the club has also swooped to sign Argentinian left-back Mariano Pernia, Greece full-back Yourkas Seitaridis and Portugal midfielder Costinha.
