Owen apologised to England teammates

Michael Owen has apologised to England teammates for his flat performance against Trinidad & Tobago on Thursday.

The Sun says Owen, who was hauled off for Wayne Rooney after just 57 minutes, said sorry to the rest of the players for another lacklustre display.
The Newcastle strike ace admits he is struggling for form but earlier had defiantly said: "Like everyone, I'm not firing on all cylinders - however I'm not going to change my game just to please everyone's eye."
But boss Sven Goran Eriksson has decided to stick with him for the last Group B game against Sweden on Tuesday. Instead, Peter Crouch will be the one to make way should Eriksson decide to start with Rooney.
