Japan doesn't have personality!

Former Japan national team manager Philippe Troussier has labelled the current outfit as a team filled with players with 'no personality'.

The Frenchman, who guided Japan in the 2002 World Cup finals on home soil, claims that by concentrating wholly on the team aspect is killing off the opportunity for individuals to grow and mature.
"They don't have players who are capable of taking control of the game and who are capable of showing initiative," said Troussier.
"These players who are based overseas need to refer to their experiences at club level to avoid this problem."
