Man Utd's Ferguson rowed with Sven over Rooney

Manchester United are unhappy with the decision to give Wayne Rooney the all-clear to join England's World Cup campaign.

The Sun says the bust-up between United and England over Rooney had escalated to the extent Old Trafford chief executive David Gill and his FA counterpart Brian Barwick also got involved.
There was a heated four-letter slanging match in a conference call which included United boss Alex Ferguson and Sven Goran Eriksson. Fergie and Sven were at loggerheads for over 40 minutes.
But in the end England won the row after Rooney was given the thumbs up by independent expert Professor Angus Wallace.
