New Racing coach apologises to Real Madrid fans

New Racing Santander coach Juan Ramon Lopez Caro has apologised to Real Madrid fans for last season.
Lopez Caro was on Thursday named as the new coach of Racing Santander after Real decided not to keep him on as boss beyond the end of the season.
He had been handed the reins of Real on a provisional basis in December following the sacking of Wanderley Luxemburgo and guided the Merengues to a top-two finish in the Primera Liga.
But they were unable to prevent rivals Barcelona from claiming a second successive title and Real put in some soporific performances at the back end of the campaign.
"I'd like to apologise to everyone who confided in me, because I didn't perform up to par," he told Real's official website.
