Valdano urges Raul to quit Real Madrid

Former Real Madrid sports director Jorge Valdano has told Raul he should've left the club to get his career back on-track.
Valdano feels 28-year-old Raul's many duties as club skipper have affected his ability to produce on the pitch and explains why his goals ratio has dipped.
Now the member of Argentina's 1986 World Cup squad is urging Spain World Cup star Raul to quit the club he supported as a boy.
"I believe Raul should have left Madrid a couple of years ago," Valdano told La Sexta TV and Real Madrid TV.
"There became a point when he took on responsibilities to the extent that he was worried about things as to whether the ticket office staff at the Bernabeu was being paid off, if a team-mate was depressed because he was being divorced or if a youth team player did not have a flat.
"These distractions affected his football and made goals harder to come by," said Valdano who recently survived a helicopter crash.
