Sacked Man Utd doc handed mega compo pay-out

Manchester United have handed sacked doc Mike Stone a cool £250,000.
The Sun says Old Trafford chief executive David Gill moved to stop the secrets behind Stone's dismissal coming out.

Stone had taken legal advice after being dramatically sacked by Alex Ferguson last week.
He was told he had a watertight case to take to an industrial tribunal and United got the same advice.
Stone believes he was fired by the United boss over his rehabilitation work with Wayne Rooney after the England striker broke a metatarsal.
While Ferguson was giving a doomsday scenario over Rooney's chances, Stone was telling England's medical chiefs things were going well.
