Real Madrid president Fernando Martin says he has agreed terms with the new coach - but won't name him just yet.
"I already know his name and in order to sign him he has pushed me to extremes, but we have him," said Martin. "At the moment, I cannot reveal his name.
"The one sure thing we know is that you cannot succeed when the trainer goes in one direction and the management structure goes in another."
