Vieri offered move to boyhood idols Sampdoria

AS Monaco centre-forward Christian Vieri is considering a move to Sampdoria.

Samp director general Beppe Marotta has offered the ex-AC Milan and Inter striker the chance to return to Italy after a difficult six months in France.

Vieri is understood to be enthusiastic about playing for Samp, a club he supported as a boy and where Dad, Roberto, played for three years.

Marotta hopes to pair Vieri with Emiliano Bonazzoli as negotiations continue with Reggina over a co-ownership agreement.
