PFA chief: Birmingham blast just crazy

PFA chief Gordon Taylor has blasted Birmingham City co-owner David Sullivan for slating his players after this week's home humiliation by Liverpool.

Taylor, who played for the Blues in the 1970s, told The Sun: "Given the situation they're in, Birmingham need everyone sticking together and pulling in the same direction.
"It's a time for strong leadership and no general ever got forward with his troops by lambasting them in public."
On Wednesday Sullivan, promised to "bomb out" the flops, who are third-bottom in the Premiership.
He stormed: "Some players aren't playing to their maximum potential and need to look at themselves and stand up and be counted.
"Some of them aren't earning their £20-£30,000-a-week and it does make you incredibly resentful."
