Michael Ballack says he chose Chelsea over Manchester United because they have "greater possibilities" of collecting silverware.
The 29-year-old is adamant he has made the right choice in joining Chelsea, even though he was courted by United and Real Madrid when it became clear he would not sign a new deal with Bayern.
Ballack added: "Chelsea is the right club because of what has been achieved over the last two years.
"The league is very strong with English teams being in the Champions League final in the successive seasons tells us that.
"Manchester United came in for me quite early but the possibilities at Chelsea seemed much greater."
