Gianpaolo Montali is the new favourite for the Juventus presidency.
Montali is currently coach of Italy's European champion volleyball team and has held talks with Juve patron John Elkann about joining the disgraced Turin giants.
Elkann has already hinted at somebody of Montali's profile taking on the Juve presidency: "The new Bianconero president will not be necessarily a football man, but someone from top level sport."
Montali doesn't have a football background, but is close to the game and several of it's high-profile powerbrokers. His candidacy could be nominated as early as next week.
