Liverpool table bid for Birmingham's Pennant

Liverpool have made a £3.5 million offer for Birmingham City winger Jermaine Pennant.

Boss Rafa Benitez is desperate to bring in a winger this summer.
He expects to get a work permit for Chile winger Mark Gonzalez after red tape blocked the deal last year.
But he wants another wide player as part of his rebuilding plans.
Former Arsenal and England Under-21 star Pennant, 23, fits the bill after playing 48 games for relegated Birmingham last season.
