Arsenal's Henry collects Barclays Player of the Year

Arsenal captain Thierry Henry has won the Barclays Player of the Year Award.

The 28-year-old has consistently been the match-winner for his club and is the current leading goalscorer in the Barclays Premiership on 24 goals.
Henry was given the Barclays Player of the Year Award by the Barclays Awards Panel, which includes representatives from football's governing bodies, the media and fans.
Matt Appleby, from the Barclays Awards Panel, said: "Henry has graced Arsenal's last season at Highbury in magnificent style. He combines moments of brilliance and entertainment with match-winning goals.
"No wonder he was described by one opposition manager as 'unplayable'."
