Chelsea want to pay £35M cash for Shevchenko

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho wants a straight cash deal for £35 million-rated AC Milan striker Andriy Shevchenko.

Shevchenko confirmed yesterday that he was leaving Milan for England after months of speculation about his future.
And Mourinho wants a straight cash deal.
But Milan are determined to land defender William Gallas as part of the transfer after having a £4m bid rejected by Chelsea two weeks ago.
The Frenchman, 28, has just one year of his Blues contract to run and is refusing to sign a new deal.
Shevchenko's imminent arrival comes just weeks after the signing of Bayern Munich superstar Michael Ballack on a £130,000-a-week deal.
