Man Utd agree Obi sale to avoid Chelsea bid for Van Nistelrooy

Manchester United have agreed to sell John Obi Mikel to Chelsea so to avoid the Blues bidding for Ruud van Nistelrooy.

The Sun says United hope they now have a gentleman's agreement with the champions not to sign the Dutch ace.
Chief executive Peter Kenyon has had preliminary talks with Van Nistelrooy's agent over a switch from Old Trafford to Stamford Bridge.
But Alex Ferguson is determined to sell the striker abroad rather than to his biggest title rivals.
Mikel initially signed for United but then claimed he was forced into doing it and really wanted to go to Chelsea. United refused to budge even appealing to FIFA and UEFA over the situation.
Now they have come to an agreement where Chelsea will pay United £10million and his Norwegian club Lyn Oslo £2m.
