Maldini backs Drogba, Van Nistelrooy for AC Milan

AC Milan captain Paolo Maldini hopes the club will replace Andriy Shevchenko with a top drawer striker should the Ukrainian choose to leave the San Siro.

Shevchenko's decision will be made public this week and Maldini said: "Sheva? We must respect his decision. If he leaves, he must be replaced.
"I'd prefer Henry, Van Nistelrooy, Drogba or Eto'o, but a decision won't be needed should Sheva stay."
Maldini also said he wouldn't be interested in accepting championship medals if Juventus were found guilty of match-fixing.
He added: "I'm not interested in the Scudettos. Football is my life. I don't want to celebrate a Scudetto which has already been celebrated by another team and it's fans."
