Man Utd's Rooney upset over doc sack


Wayne Rooney can't believe the decision by Manchester United to sack their doctor Mike Stone.

England's wonder-kid is privately angry Manchester United's axed medic Mike Stone will not oversee the crucial scan today which could decide his World Cup future.
Rooney, 20, credited Dr Stone with the amazing recovery he has made from his metatarsal injury.
A source close to the star told The Sun: "Wayne was impressed with Mike's work on his foot and liked him. This has come as a big shock."
Stone had become a trusted friend as well as the doc who has nursed him back to fitness since his foot injury at Chelsea on April 29.
One United insider said: "Everyone loved the bloke and cannot understand why this has happened."
