Eriksson opens door to Italy return

England boss Sven Goran Eriksson has opened the door to a return to Italy next season.

Asked what he will do after the World Cup, Eriksson said: "I do not know. I'm trying for a new job, I do not have preferences. National or club side, it doesn't matter. Italy or Spain, or an English club.
"I hope to arrange something for me before the World Cup. Otherwise I will have a break, between Italy, Portugal and Sweden."
Asked about his former protégé Roberto Mancini at Inter Milan, the ex-Sampdoria and Lazio coach said: "Inter are a team in transition.
"But with the Coppa Italia and a Champions League place the future looks good. They will fight for the Scudetto next season."
