Juventus goalkeeper Gigi Buffon insists he has done nothing wrong after being interrogated by public prosecutors on Saturday over betting on games.
"It is true that I placed a few bets, but only where it was allowed," explained the Juventus star.
"I stopped in the autumn of 2005, when it was banned for players to gamble. I have always respected the rules, both legal and disciplinary. I only ever bet on foreign football and other sports, because in Italy I was not allowed to do anything else."
Buffon was named as one of the players under investigation by the Parma public prosecutor for a betting ring.
