Former Real Madrid president Fernando Martin has confirmed he's discussed the signing of Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo.
Martin, who resigned the presidency this week, confirmed he had been urged to move for Ronaldo by Inter Milan ace Luis Figo.
"Yes, it's true," said Martin. "But Real Madrid must sign players which the technical staff needs."
