New Real Madrid president Luis Gomez Montejano will maintain the push of his predecessors to secure AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti for next season.
Montejano will spend the weekend in talks with Ancelotti's representatives and AS says the Italian has already signed a pre-contract agreement - as far back as February - for two years with an option of a third.
Milan will refuse to make public Ancelotti's departure while the title race is still open, which may mean Montejano being forced to wait until the end of the season to announce the Italian's appointment.
Ancelotti signed a new deal through to 2008 earlier this year at Milan, but it's understood the agreement was simply a public ploy to stop speculation wrecking their Champions League and Serie A campaigns.
