Inter Milan's Adriano wants £6M-a-year to join Real Madrid

Before yesterday's resignation, Real Madrid president Fernando Martin tried to gain an agreement with Inter Milan striker Adriano for next season.

Martin, desperate to present a big-name to the board, turned to Adriano after receiving no response from Arsenal captain Thierry Henry.
Sources close to Martin say intermediaries confirmed that Adriano wants to leave at the end of this season, but is demanding £6 million-a-year to move to Spain, says AS.
When Martin's predecessor, Florentino Perez, was chasing the Inter centre-forward, he was asking £4 million-a-year.
