Manchester United are determined to send a message to Chelsea this weekend about next season, says Rio Ferdinand.
Ferdinand believes the first step will be spoiling Chelsea's Championship party on Saturday.
The Blues need only a point against United at Stamford Bridge to retain their crown.
Ferdinand said: "We want to win for our own personal satisfaction. Three points will help us end the campaign on a high and will stand us in good stead for next season.
"We need to start well next year, and to do that we need to make sure we finish well."
United are determined not to be just guests at a Stamford Bridge celebration.
Ferdinand said: "Saturday's game is a massive one for us.
"They'll be trying to win the league - but it's up to us to delay that as long as possible."
