Allardyce: Roeder can't be Newcastle manager

Bolton Wanderers boss Sam Allardyce says Glenn Roeder shouldn't be allowed to stay in charge of Newcastle while he still doesn't have the necessary qualifications.
Toon caretaker Roeder does not have his UEFA Pro licence, a qualification demanded for all bosses.

Allardyce said: "He should have done the Pro licence because he knew the criteria.
"Maybe he has lost the opportunity of becoming manager of Newcastle because of that, but it's his responsibility."
UEFA demanded that all managers under their jurisdiction had to have the qualification by 2003.
Despite Roeder's vast coaching experience he has never taken it.
Roeder, 50, has turned the club around since taking over in February when Graeme Souness was sacked.
Allardyce said: "It is antiquated for people to say you should be able to get the job without the licence when you have to have it in every other country.
"If you want to become a doctor you need to become a qualified doctor."
League Managers Association chief John Barnwell said: "Even if Newcastle did not qualify for Europe I do not believe the Premiership would allow his appointment."
Allardyce and Barnwell were talking at the launch of a new LMA website and training initiative, which aims to help sacked managers and coaches quickly find a new post within football.
Toon chairman Freddy Shepherd insists Roeder has not been handed the manager's job - despite a betting frenzy. He said: "We haven't ruled anyone in or out."
