Henry: Everyone at Arsenal loves Liverpool's Gerrard

Thierry Henry has revealed the hero status Liverpool's Steven Gerrard enjoys at Arsenal.

Arsene Wenger's men will face either Barcelona or AC Milan in Paris next month after a goalless draw with Villarreal saw them progress 1-0 on aggregate.

Speaking immediately after the match in Spain, the Arsenal skipper was keen to pay tribute to Gerrard and congratulate the Liverpool midfielder on being named PFA Player of the Year at the weekend.

"What Steven Gerrard did last year in the Champions League has been an inspiration to us all," said Henry.

"I am so pleased he has been named Player of the Year. It's been a long time coming for him. I have so much respect for the guy and I want to congratulate him."
