Man City boss wants to replace Barton with Gravesen

Manchester City boss Stuart Pearce is ready to sell Joey Barton and replace him with Real Madrid midfielder Thomas Gravesen.

Pearce has grown sick of contract rebel Barton's refusal to sign a new deal, says The Sun.
He wanted it done by the end of this month but there is still no sign of midfielder Barton committing himself to another four years at the club.
Pearce does not want the issue stretching through the summer as he bids to rebuild his team.
Barton would command a fee of around £7million.
It is money Pearce needs as he aims to find four new players for next season and Real Madrid hardman Gravesen is the man he wants to operate in the centre of his midfield.
