Allardyce wants 6 Bolton signings before World Cup

Sam Allardyce has made provisional plans to draft in at least six new players before the World Cup begins on June 9.

The Bolton boss aims to beef up his squad in double quick time should they have to settle for a place in the Intertoto Cup.
Allardyce said: "When the World Cup is on, it is a complete waste of time trying to find players.
"We have to get as many in before it starts if we are in the Intertoto.
"The restructuring of the Intertoto means it is much more comfortable to enter.
"If we want to progress in the tournament we can only do it if we have a strong squad available when we start back in July.
"There is no point competing in the Intertoto if we are forced to use youth-team players like we did last year when we went to Thailand.
"It is important to introduce new players into the side as quickly as possible."
