Charlton boss urges Bent to stay

Alan Curbishley says there is no better place than Charlton for Darren Bent after admitting he is "well aware" of the interest in his striker.

The 22-year-old striker has impressed on his first full season back in the top flight with 20 goals in all competitions.
"Darren does not need to win the PFA Award to attract the big boys - they are always out there and we know that," Curbishley said.
"Darren has come out on record as saying this is the place for him at the moment, he needs to be playing regularly and developing."
However, Curbishley knows his side cannot continue to rely solely on Bent to supply the goals.
He added: "We have relied heavily on Darren, so it is something we have to look at, and perhaps improve, thinking about next year as well."
