Liverpool rival Fiorentina for Empoli striker Tavano

Liverpool have approached Empoli about the availability of striker Francesco Tavano.
Tavano is expected to be sold by Empoli in the summer, with president Fabrizio Corsi insisting only a Champions League regular is worthy of their young forward.

Along with Liverpool, Valencia, Inter Milan and Fiorentina have also registered their interest.
