Newcastle scouts impressed by Inter Milan's Martins

Newcastle United are chasing Inter Milan striker Obefami Martins.
The Sunday Sun says United scouts have checked out the Nigerian in recent weeks and are aware that he is available this summer.

Martins has been in and out of Inter's starting XI this season, but still bagged 10 league and cup goals.
The 21-year-old insists he is happy to fight the South American trio of Adriano, Alvaro Recoba and Julio Cruz for his place at the San Siro.
But with Inter considering a close-season swoop for Livorno striker Cristiano Lucarelli, Martins faces being squeezed out altogether in Milan.
Newcastle will make no major moves until they appoint a new manager, but the club's scouting team has been planning for life without Shearer.
And they will recommend Martins - also being eyed by Spurs - to the incoming boss as a potential target.
