Jay-Jay Okocha is putting talks about his future on hold so he can concentrate on steering Bolton back into Europe.
The gifted Nigerian playmaker's contract runs out in the summer and he looks set to leave the Reebok Stadium.
"I am not thinking about myself, we are all focusing on getting a UEFA Cup place," the 32-year-old said.
"We need to stop our bad run now and what would be better than doing it against Chelsea.
"Finishing below last season's place (sixth) would be a disaster.
"When we know where we are going, we can discuss my future."
"I am getting a run of games now and that was what I was lacking before," said Okocha.
"All my energy lies with the club and that is a benefit.
"It was a big relief after the Nations Cup to know that was it.
"I am enjoying my football at Bolton; the only thing missing is a few more points."
