Real Madrid's Beckham reveals MLS ambition

Real Madrid midfielder David Beckham has made a 'come and get me' plea to the MLS.

Teammates Ronaldo and Zinedine Zidane have already been linked with New York Red Bull and Beckham told ESPN: "At some stage, playing in America is possible. I am in partnership with IEG (sponsorship firm) and with the academies and it has been mentioned.
"I've one year left at Real Madrid and maybe two more after that but, who knows, things can change in football and the American League does interest me.
"I want to be part of a country that is passionate about sport. I've got my soccer academy in LA, which is important to me because that is my life after the game.
"After I finish playing football that will be my life. I am the academy's UNICEF ambassador, so that will be a big part of my life too. America for me is one of the most passionate places. There is an incredible feeling around the country.
"I always mention when I'm asked about America about how you can walk down the street and everyone has got the Stars and Stripes flying in front of their house. For me it's so passionate and I'd like to be a part of that."
